Year-round vehicle and passenger ferry service to the island is provided by Marine Atlantic between North Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Port aux Basques (PAB), Newfoundland. Crossing time is 6 hours. To access Norris Point from PAB drive 345 km’s (approx. 3.5 hours) drive north east on the Trans-Canada Highway (Route #1) to Deer Lake. In Deer Lake take the Viking Trail (Route #430) north for 81 km’s (approx. 50 minutes) to Norris Point. Call 1-800-341-7981 for ferry reservations and details, or visit their WEBSITE

There is daily ferry service in the summer between St. Barbe on Newfoundland’s Viking Trail and Blanc Sablon on the Quebec-Labrador border. Take this ferry to reach Route 510. Crossing time is 80 minutes.

Getting to Norris Point from St. John’s, head west on the TCH (Route #1), take the Viking Trail in Deer Lake and drive north 81 kms on Route 430.
